Terms of Service

The rules for using Prep Sports Central: what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of prepsportscentral.com and the PSC account system operated by Prep Sports Central ("PSC", "we", "us"). By using the site, creating an account, or buying anything from us, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms and explains how we handle personal information.

Your PSC account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 to receive payouts.
  • Give accurate information and keep it current. Credentialing decisions rely on it.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secret. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • One person, one account. Do not share credentials or impersonate anyone.
  • Your PSC account is a single identity across the PSC ecosystem, including Streamline, PSC Network, and PWR. Suspension of your PSC account affects all of them.

Creator content and licensing

You keep the copyright in what you create. Photographs, video, and writing you upload remain yours.

By publishing through PSC you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, resize, display, distribute, and promote that work across the PSC ecosystem and its syndication partners, and to sell prints and digital downloads of it through our galleries under the revenue terms in your creator agreement. The licence continues for material already published or sold, so an archive does not develop holes; it does not permit us to sublicense your work outside those channels.

By uploading, you confirm that:

  • You created the work, or have all rights necessary to grant this licence.
  • You obtained the access you needed — venue, school, league, or event credentials.
  • The work does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Captions and credits are accurate, and images are not manipulated in ways that misrepresent what happened.

Editorial standards and conduct

Anyone publishing under the PSC name represents PSC to schools, athletes, and their families. That carries obligations:

  • Follow venue rules, sideline instructions, and the terms of your credential.
  • Report accurately. Verify scores, names, and spellings before publishing.
  • Corrections are issued openly and promptly. We correct the record rather than quietly editing it.
  • No plagiarism, no fabricated quotes, no undisclosed conflicts of interest, and no AI-generated content presented as first-hand reporting or photography.
  • Treat athletes — most of whom are minors — with the care their age deserves.

Violations may result in removal of a credential, unpublication of work, or account termination.

Photo orders and licences

  • Buying a digital photo or print grants you a personal, non-commercial licence to display, print, and share the image for personal use. It does not transfer copyright.
  • Commercial use — advertising, merchandise, resale, or use by a business, brand, school, or league — requires a separate licence. Contact us and we will arrange one with the photographer.
  • Do not remove watermarks or credit lines from images that carry them.
  • Digital downloads are delivered immediately and are non-refundable once downloaded, except where the file is defective or the wrong item was delivered. Physical prints may be returned if they arrive damaged or incorrect; contact us within 30 days.

Payments, subscriptions, and payouts

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing you also agree to Stripe's terms. PSC does not store card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the paid period. We do not pro-rate partial periods unless the law requires it.
  • Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes we are required to collect.
  • Photographer payouts run through Stripe Connect at the revenue share in your creator agreement, and require a completed Stripe onboarding. You are responsible for your own taxes on those earnings.
  • Stripe's records are the source of truth for what was charged, refunded, and paid out. If our display and Stripe disagree, Stripe is correct and we will fix our records.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Scrape, crawl at abusive rates, or bulk-download galleries or coverage.
  • Circumvent paywalls, watermarks, gallery access controls, or rate limits.
  • Upload malware, attempt to breach our systems, or probe for vulnerabilities without permission.
  • Post harassing, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit material, or anything that endangers a minor.
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with PSC, a school, or a league.
  • Resell or redistribute PSC data, feeds, or media without a written agreement.

Reasonable, attributed use of our public RSS feed and normal search-engine indexing are welcome.

Intellectual property and takedowns

The PSC name, logo, site design, and compiled data are our property or licensed to us. Coverage and photography belong to their creators, licensed to PSC as described above. Nothing here grants you rights to our branding.

If you believe material on PSC infringes your copyright, send us a notice through the contact form identifying the work, the URL of the material, your contact details, and a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised. We remove or disable infringing material and terminate repeat infringers.

Third-party platforms and links

The PSC ecosystem includes Streamline, PSC Network, and PWR, each of which may have additional terms for its own features. We also link to third-party sites we do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Scores, statistics, rankings, and schedules are compiled from many sources and may contain errors or be incomplete. Do not rely on them for recruiting, wagering, eligibility, or any other decision with consequences. Tell us about an error and we will fix it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PSC and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

You agree to indemnify PSC against claims arising from content you publish, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone's rights.

Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, creates legal risk, or harms other users — with notice where practicable and immediately where necessary. Published work and completed transactions may remain part of the archive and the financial record after an account closes.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and we announce material changes on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use PSC afterwards means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here removes a right you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.
