After 79 years of being held the same week, the Owyhee County Fair and PRCA Rodeo will take place on separate dates this summer. The fair runs August 3–8, followed by the rodeo August 13–15. Rodeo leadership says the change improves scheduling, reduces strain on shared resources, and allows revenue to continue supporting local youth programs and community initiatives.

The Caldwell High School Cheer Show Team returned from Las Vegas as 2nd place national champions at the JAMZ Cheer & Dance Nationals. The “home grown” team, developed entirely within the Caldwell program, competed against top squads from across the country. Their next performance will be at the IDHSAA State Cheer competition on Feb. 28.

Maintaining intensity throughout both halves, Owyhee limited Damien to just 26 points.
