SMU falls to TCU

SMU Men’s Tennis fell 4-1 to No. 4 TCU on Saturday after dropping the doubles point. Trevor Svajda earned his highest-ranked win, defeating No. 6 Duncan Chan to tie it 1-1, but TCU claimed three singles courts to clinch the match at Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.

SMU Men’s Tennis dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 4 TCU on Saturday at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex after the Mustangs fell behind following the doubles point. Trevor Svajda evened the match at 1-1 with a straight-sets win over No. 6 Duncan Chan, marking the junior’s highest-ranked victory of his career and his second ranked win of the spring.

TCU responded with singles victories on courts two, six and five to secure the match. Svajda remains unbeaten in dual singles play at 4-0 this spring, winning all matches in straight sets, while the Mustangs look ahead after a competitive showing against one of the nation’s top teams.
